Why it exists
I'm Lennart Øster, a software developer in Præstø, Denmark. I build and run several SaaS products on my own, and every one of them needs video: promos, explainers, short social clips. The AI tools I tried made a great first scene and then gave my main character a new face in the next one. Retries cost money, jobs hung, and there was no way to let my own AI assistant do the work for me.
So I built the studio I wanted. Characters that stay themselves. A job system where nothing spins forever. Every version kept. And an API and MCP server underneath all of it, so an agent can make the video while I do something else.
Why it bills at cost
The AI models are the expensive part of a video, and their prices keep changing. A credit system hides that behind a number you can't check. heyCreatr doesn't resell model time: you connect your own AtlasCloud account, and every generation is billed there at the provider's price. heyCreatr charges one flat fee for the studio, 39 EUR a month, and nothing per video.
What we believe
- You own what you make. Your scripts, characters and videos are yours.
- Show the real cost. Every job records what the provider charged, and you can see all of it.
- Nothing spins forever. Every job has a time limit, a retry and a readable error.
- People on camera consent. Photos and footage of real people need the person's permission, and the app asks you to confirm it.
